WELCOME TO THE HEZEKIAH MOVEMENT

"A Spiritual Response To The Spiritual Crisis Of Addiction"

The Hezekiah Movement are men and women in recovery, families, and people concerned about the growing epidemic of drug and alcohol abuse. We are dedicated to strengthening the spirit of those touched by addiction and we promote a spiritual response to the spiritual crisis of addiction. We strive to live in hope and grow into a new life of serenity and surrender to a power greater than ourselves.

Hezekiah is guided by a spirit of hope rooted in the prayer of King Hezekiah who upon his miraculous recovery from illness uttered the beautiful prayer of thanksgiving found in the book of the prophet Isaiah.

Those live whom the Lord protects; you have revived my spirit! You have given me health and life thus is my bitterness transformed into peace. You have preserved my life from the pit of destruction. Isaiah 38: 9-20

What is Hezekiah? Strength, Love, Recovery, Patience, Fellowship, New Life, Togetherness, Hope, Perseverance, and Spiritual Growth. Hezekiah is different things to different people but for many of us, we call it FAMILY.

With profound respect for every person, we nuture environments and opportunities for recovery from addiction and provide; Islands of Hope for those seeking a new way of life.

Island of Hope

Hello Friends of Hezekiah

As you can see, Hezekiah has a new redesigned web site. I've been working on it for quite awhile now and I hope you like it. Some of the new features are a drop down menu that will allow you to go to specific areas in the site. For example you can go to various areas on the program, events, and spiritual soup pages. From the links drop down menu you can access various links that are important to us. I think the site will be better accessable and easier for me to maintain as the site continues to grow

If you have any suggestions about the site please contact us as we are open to any and all comments that will make the site better for our visitiors. So click away and check out the site. There are a couple of additions to the spiritual soup page. Check it out.

God Bless

THEYARD

Dear Friends

It is with much joy and gratitude that the Hezekiah Movement celebrates the return of summer! The past months have been a time of many blessing for us. Most important, was the opening of our first Island of Hope. It is through your great generosity and support that this has happened and now more and more people are getting help in their efforts to be free from addiction. We are most thankful to you for all the help you have given. Your help in the past has been so important for us to get this far.

Besides the blessing of our new Island of Hope, we have experienced a growth in the Hezekiah Movement retreats. These retreats are providing wonderful spiritual experiences for so many in recovery who have never had such oportunities before. In addiction, more men and women are joining in with us throughout the week for prayer and meditation and they are finding suupport and encouragement as they go forward in their new life of recovery from addiction. Again all this is possible because of your care and generosity.

Your help means so much to so many. I pray that you will be filled with Easter joy. May this Summer be a time of freedom, peace, hope and new life.

In Gratitude and Peace.

Fr. Joe
